Dan Snider is the Chief Operating Officer at one of the most prestigious private golf clubs in America but prefers that we not mention the name of the club. Hint: It’s been identified by Golf Digest as the “Best New Private Course in America” in 2005 and is ranked number 14 on Golf Digest’s biennial ranking of “America’s 100 Greatest Golf Courses.”
Dan has over 30 years of teaching experience in Texas and Arkansas including Instructor at the Mike Holder Golf Camp, Oklahoma State University; University of Oklahoma Golf Camp; Arkansas PGA Chapter Teaching Seminars, Bob Toski Golf School, Guest Instructor for The Golf Channel and he is currently serving as a Master Instructor for Nike Golf.
Dan was named to the South Central Section PGA Hall of Fame in 2011. Dan has been named the PGA Teaching Professional of the year for the South Central Section four years in a row. Arkansas, Oklahoma and Kansas comprise the section. Dan has captured Arkansas’ PGA Instructor of the year 14 times consecutively. He has been nominated as the nation’s top PGA Teaching Pro of the Year four times.
Dan is well known to Arkansas golfers as the former head professional and Director of Instruction at Chenal Country Club. President Bill Clinton is one of his former students.
Dan has been instrumental in the development of the Arkansas Fairways and Greens weekly radio broadcast and serves as a consultant and golf expert for the golf show. He is a featured commentator on the program including live reports from golf tournaments around the country. Dan serves on the board of The First Tee of Central Arkansas, Jack Stephens Youth Golf Academy.
